Maritime Heritage Coalition Brown Bag Lunch

Tuesday, Jan. 17, 12 to 1 p.m.

Portland Building Auditorium, 1120 SW Fifth Ave, Portland

The City of Portland’s Office of Healthy Working Rivers is hosting a brown bag lunch session on Tuesday featuring guest speaker Chris Finks, President of Portland’s newly-formed Martime Heritage Coalition. The event is free and open to the public to attend.

Finks will describe how many existing groups are joining together to celebrate, promote, and preserve the maritime heritage of Portland, including its Native American roots and relation to river ecology. The coalition aims to provide opportunities for education, exploration and discovery through a new center on Portland’s downtown waterfront.
