Saturday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Port of Portland, Terminal 4, 11040 N. Lombard Street
Mark your calendars for Seaport Celebration, Aug. 17.
Enjoy a fun-filled day on the river with exclusive jet boat rides ($5), interactive displays, live music and entertainment, free giveaways, a photo booth, container art, and activities for all ages. This year’s event will take place inside the fences at the Port’s marine Terminal 4 for the second year in a row; a familiar spot for last year’s participants.
The family-friendly event is hosted by the Port of Portland and many of its community partners and terminal operators. Its purpose is to take people behind the scenes of a working waterfront and learn about its vital link to the economy and community. Admission and parking are free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Terminal 4 is home to: a distribution center for Toyota, Scion and Lexus vehicles; liquid agricultural fertilizers for International Raw Materials; an export facility for soda ash, used in the manufacturing of glass; and a flour mill. It is located on the Willamette River adjacent to Cathedral Park near the St. Johns Bridge.
