Monday, May 3, marked the first official day in the new headquarters building for more than 450 Port of Portland employees. Staff from the downtown Portland headquarters and the airport terminal consolidated in offices situated on three floors built atop the new seven-story long-term parking garage at Portland International Airport.
The Port is hosting its first public open house in the new building on Saturday, June 5. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the doors will be open to the public for tours, presentations and fun activities for kids. This event is free to attend and light refreshments will be provided by PDX concessionaires.
You’ll learn about the building’s unique design features and local artwork. Environmental engineering tours will highlight the Living Machine® system, ecoroof and geothermal heating and cooling systems. Guest parking will be validated in the new long-term parking garage, or you can take the MAX Red Line light rail to PDX.
